Email

I cannot login to the squirrelmod application to collect my Mail, what gives?

  • You need to configure an email identity, this is achieved when you make the large mail icon a smaller one, from under the Email menu option. You will now be able to login.
  • The reason for this is the email identities are passed automatically to squirrel mail. If no identiteies are set the mail application, won't work.
  • This icon means the email slot is not active. It cannot recieve mail, and is not passed to squirrelmail.
  • This icon means the email slot is active. It does recieve email on the specified address. The address is passed to the compose section of squirrelmail along with the name field and the signature.

How to I set my language for the squirrelmail application?

  • Login the the squirrelmod application. Of course you must be logged into nu.fm. Select options to the right of compose, select display preferences link. The language + themes and many options are found here.

What languages are supported in the mail app?

What is the house icon for?

  • This icon means that you have enough credit to buy and you have discovered a domain that is available.

What does it mean to trade in a sub domain i own?

  • This feature means you can relenquish your ownership of a particular domain. The domain if traded in will be available instantly to any other nu.fm member including you. In return you recieve a credit, to buy back a new sub domain.

What are the features of the free domains?

  • Email mode only for use with you 10MB IMAP account.
  • Standard redirect. phpdevelopment.com.nu.fm => some.webspace.com/users/~marj.html
  • Cloaked mode, sometimes known as stealth mode, but basically content deliverd in frame wrapper.
  • Name Server Delegation. Same principle as any other domain name.
  • Do you offer free webspace with the name? it is very simple for us to add this feature. Watch out for it.
